Warmnet began operating in 1976. During the 1980s, the company was known as Varkauden Lämpöasennus Ky, and since April 2000, we have operated under the name Warmnet Oy.
The name has changed, but the principle behind our work remains the same: the agreed work is completed professionally. This is what getting the job done right the first time means to Warmnet. It is reflected in our practical work, our flexibility and the fact that our longest client relationships date back to the 1970s.
Five decades of experience bring perspective to every decision
A long history does not mean that any two sites are alike. It does, however, provide a breadth of experience that helps us assess the requirements of each new project. Warmnet has worked on long transmission mains, DN400–DN600 pipelines, turnkey projects, network renewals, fault situations, bridge installations, waterside sites and industrial environments.
For the client, this experience is reflected in our ability to identify the questions that are essential to successful delivery: how the site can be accessed, what equipment is needed to transport and lift the pipe sections, how the work stages should be sequenced and what requirements the existing environment places on the work.
Two locations, projects throughout Finland
Warmnet's registered office and Varkaus location are on Harjulantie. Our Hamina location is on Horjalviikintie. We deliver projects nationwide for energy companies, cities, municipalities and industrial operators.
Professional expertise matters where the work is carried out
Warmnet's team includes specialists in district heating and pipework. All our welders are coded welders, and our employees maintain and develop their professional skills through further training.
In a demanding project, expertise involves more than carrying out an individual task. It also means being able to read plans, work effectively on a shared construction site, operate equipment correctly and coordinate our work with the schedules of other project stages. A committed team also helps resolve situations that cannot be fully anticipated in advance.
Equipment selected for district heating and pipework projects
Warmnet's equipment includes crane trucks of various sizes with the necessary accessories, high-capacity transport equipment for special transport operations, excavators, hook-lift trucks, service vehicles, access platforms, an all-terrain vehicle and a work raft suitable for waterside installations.
Our equipment enables us to transport, lift and install large and long pipe sections at a variety of sites. Our own fleet also supports civil works, site arrangements, maintenance and repairs. When several work stages are handled under the responsibility of the same company, coordinating them becomes easier.
Flexibility matters when circumstances change
Work on a district heating network sometimes takes place under conditions where neither the timing nor the working environment can be chosen. When a network fault occurs, Warmnet can provide assistance as needed outside normal working hours, including evenings and weekends.
Flexibility does not mean working without a plan. It means being able to assess the situation, mobilise the required expertise and equipment, and move the work forward safely and as agreed.
Long-term client relationships are a measure of trust
Warmnet carries out individual projects as well as work under annual contracts. Our longest client relationships began in the 1970s. Continued cooperation means that the client knows the contractor, while the contractor develops a deeper understanding of the client's network, working practices and requirements.
For a new client, the best evidence of our expertise can be found in our completed projects. Our references include large-diameter pipelines, long transmission mains, turnkey projects, and bridge, waterside and industrial projects throughout Finland.
